Understanding What It Means to Be a Christian
Skepticism is fashionable. Conviction is not. The hard thing about belief, though, is that it is difficult to avoid. We all believe many things about myriad matters. Otherwise, how would we act? Human beings don’t just do random things. We act because we find certain actions sensible, intelligible, worthy of doing.
We Christians have always tried to make our beliefs clear to those around us. Our hope is to help our church and community understand what Christians believe, not just to fill our heads with arcane knowledge but to prepare ourselves for action in this world.
