CPC Blood Drive | Spring 2017

Superheroes are all the rage at the movies in recent years, but you don't need a cape or special powers to be a hero. On Monday, April 3, you can save a life by donating blood at Central's semi-annual blood drive. Actually, your single donation can save up to THREE lives. That's even better than Batman can do! 

Every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood. Blood donation is a simple four-step process: registration, medical history and mini-physical, donation, and refreshments. The actual blood donation typically takes less than 10-12 minutes. The entire process, from the time you arrive to the time you leave, takes about an hour and 15 min. Do you have 75 minutes to spare if it can save three lives?

Won't you consider giving the gift of life? Each pint donated can save up to three lives! There are three ways to schedule your appointment:

1. Click here to VISIT the American Red Cross web site
   
   If you’re already registered as a donor on the Red Cross website, use the “Donor Login” box. The code is “CentralPres”
   
   If you’re not yet a registered Red Cross donor, click “Register Now.” Complete and submit your registration. On the next screen, click “Make a Blood Donation Appointment” in the upper right-hand corner. On the next screen, enter “CentralPres” next to the “Enter Sponsor Code” box, then click “Find a Drive.” On the next screen, click "Click Here to schedule an appointment” at the right end of the yellow bar. When you click on the appointment time you prefer, your information will automatically appear on the form. Click "Confirm" to schedule your appointment. You'll receive an e-mail confirmation.
   
   
2. CALL 1-800-REDCROSS. Give the sponsor code of "CentralPres" or mention that the blood drive will be held at Central on April 3.
