White Cross

About the Event

White Cross is a Women in Ministry group that meets each summer to turn old sheets into bandages for missions around the world that need medical supplies. These bandages are used to make slings, to hold gauze in place, to hang IV bottles, and are often used in place of adhesive tape.

This year, our students will be bringing the bandages to Honduras as part of their mission trip this August.

To make each bandage, we tear old sheets into 3-inch strips, defuzz excess threads, sew strips into 3 yard lengths, and then roll, tie, and box the bandages to be shipped. We roll a bible verse into each bandage to encourage whomever uses the bandage. Last year we shipped over 1,700 bandages.

White Cross is a fun and casual time of fellowship for women of all ages. Feel free to bring your children or grandchildren to participate, however childcare is not provided. We meet each Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:30am. Each session concludes with a $5 lunch and a short devotional given by a staff member. We will meet each Tuesday from June 5 to July 31. We hope to see you there!
