On Monday, April 19, you can save a life by donating blood at Central's semi-annual blood drive. Actually, your single donation can save up to THREE lives.
There is a constant and ongoing need for blood donations. The American Red Cross is testing all blood, platelet and plasma donations for COVID-19 antibodies. As part of that effort, plasma from whole blood donations that test positive for COVID-19 antibodies may now help current coronavirus patients in need of convalescent plasma transfusions. The Red Cross follows the highest standards of safety and infection control, and volunteer donors are the only source of blood for those in need.
There are two ways to schedule your appointment:
- Click here to VISIT the American Red Cross web site. Be sure to use our sponsor code: CentralPres (case sensitive).
- CALL 1-800-REDCROSS. Give the sponsor code of "CentralPres" or mention that the blood drive will be held at Central on November 9.
