Haiti Earthquake Relief Effort
Central members are already responding to the needs in Haiti following the terrible earthquake that hit this impoverished country last Tuesday. I’m sure that many of you have seen the photos and heard the stories as tens of thousands have perished and many more are injured or missing. Central has personal ties to Haiti with our ongoing work on the island of La Gonave, just off the coast of Port Au Prince where the quake was centered. We have spoken to our missionaries with the West Indies Self Help (WISH) mission there and they desperately need funds for food, water, rebuilding supplies and for burial costs for island family members who have died on the mainland of Haiti.
