Jubilee Christian Development Corporation
St. Louis, Missouri
Andy Krumsieg is a veteran of urban ministry and the founder and director of Jubilee Christian Development Corporation (JCDC). JCDC is a Central-supported ministry located in the Lindell Park area of St. Louis, just north of St. Louis University and the Grand Arts District that houses Powell Symphony Hall and the Fox Theater. In an area that has seen decline, JCDC focuses on community development and building relationships. The ministry is partnered with Jubilee Community Church, most of whose members and leaders live in the community.
JCDC purchases and rehabs empty homes and builds new homes in the immediate area for purchase or renting. The program is currently finishing a single family house on the street directly adjacent to Jubilee Community Church and is also negotiating for the property adjoining the Jubilee building. Andy Krumsieg’s praises and prayer requests:
- Pray for continuing financial support and more volunteers, especially workers to help improve and build up the community.
- Pray for wisdom for our leadership. God has done some amazing things and continues to show his way. We need wisdom, discernment and obedience to walk forward.
- Praise God for the way he has guided and provided for the past fifteen years. We praise God for people in our community regularly receiving salvation, learning to walk in discipleship and being empowered to understand and walk in the purpose for which God has created them....to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself".
Jubilee relies on volunteers. For a partial list of current needs, check out the Featured Missionary web page under Missions at www.centralpres.com. To learn more about Jubilee Church and its ministries, go to www.jubilee-stl.org.
Current volunteer opportunities and financial needs of Jubilee Christian Development Corporation:
1. Carpenters, handymen and weekend warriors to finish the construction at 4255 Obear - hanging doors and doing trim work, installing basement windows, painting, putting down hardwood flooring, laying carpet, finishing landscaping.
2. Help with planning and land development of the 2.75 acre adjacent land acquisition.
3. A volunteer accounting consultant.
4. $7,500 (or a portion thereof) for final expenses of the 4255 Obear property.
5. $5,000 toward the $65,000 purchase price of the 1.5 acre land acquisition. A friend from New York has challenged us to find twelve people/entities to donate $5,000 each and then he is committed to give us the thirteenth gift of $5,000 to purchase the land. Currently we have $30,000 of the first $60,000 sitting in our building fund.
Note: Central Missions has just committed $5000 toward the land acquisition.

Job Alliance is an eight-week, two-hour program on Monday and Thursday evenings. It is not job-specific skills training, but a job readiness program dealing with integrity in the work place, conflict resolution, how to establish goals, priorities in one’s walk with Jesus, resume writing and job interviewing. Volunteer teachers and mentors are needed for these classes that are scheduled three to four times each year. For more information or to volunteer, contact Ken Jenkins at 314-601-5983.
