Honoring Dr. King

The annual Martin Luther King Jr. holiday provides us with an opportunity to honor the ways the gospel of Jesus Christ inspired Dr. King and many other faithful, courageous men and women. They labored with great sacrifice for America to embody more fully its founding principles that all men are created equal and have inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

It is also an opportunity to to commit ourselves to the impact of the gospel that is still desperately needed to make our city and nation into a more just and loving community for all people. Here are some events in St. Louis this coming weekend for you to learn, remember, celebrate, and honor King and the ongoing mission to bring the love of Christ to bear upon our nation.
