What are the different aspects of the Right Start program?
This program consists of three parts:
- Classroom lectures and exercises,
- Reading and homework assignments, and
- A relationship with a mentor couple.
What topics are covered?
Key areas of marital life are discussed. Examples of topics covered are: biblical foundations for marriage, communication and conflict resolution, financial management, emotional and sexual intimacy, and financial stewardship.
What is a mentor couple?
How much does Right Start cost?
$125.00 per couple – Central Member
$175.00 per couple – Nonmember
What materials are used?
Each couple will take the online customized version of the PREPARE relationship inventory. This inventory is for dating and engaged couples and is specifically designed to help couples understand and explore their relationship strengths and growth areas. Mentor couples are trained to use the PREPARE inventory to help couples dialogue honestly about their relationship. Couples will also interact with their PREPARE results during classroom exercises and homework assignments.
How do you register?
Fill out a registration form that is included in the Right Start brochure and mail it in with a check made out to Central Presbyterian Church.
