Central’s Hospitality Team

Greeter’s ~ Has God gifted you with an outgoing personality, gifts of encouragement and a friendly smile? We welcome you to use these gifts to serve as a “Greeter” at the Sunday services. All you need is a little extra time before and/or after the services and a bit of knowledge regarding Central’s layout. If you are interested and need more information, please contact Lore Crowe at (636) 391-0820 or .

Usher’s ~ Ushers meet the needs of both members and non-members during worship services. Their responsibilities include distributing bulletins before the morning services, directing people who need assistance and welcoming new people as they enter the Sanctuary. For those interested in serving in these capacities, please contact Jamie Estes at (314) 374-1164 or .

New Visitor Luncheons ~ New Visitor Luncheons are held five to six times per year. The luncheons give newcomers an opportunity to enjoy a meal prepared by our own Julie Kraus and ask questions of Central pastors and ministry staff. If you would like to be a part of the team that engages in good conversation over a meal with those God is drawing to Central, please contact Kate O’Connor at (314) 727-2777, ext. 178 or for more information.

Bagels and Coffee on the Lawn ~ “Bagels and coffee on the lawn” is an out of the ordinary way to extend hospitality to people on Sunday mornings when we are blessed with beautiful weather. This team works about twice a month from June to September (weather permitting). If you would like to plug into this “tasty” ministry, there are several ways to serve. Additional information can be sought by contacting Katie Boggs at (636) 394-8031 or .

Coffee Ministry ~ Are you a morning person? Do you enjoy the aroma of a good cup of coffee? Or does utilizing your God given gifts of coordination and organization excite you? If so, the “coffee ministry” may “perk” your interest. Coffee is prepared by volunteers and we welcome additional assistance with this ministry. If you would like to help out with coffee and enhance our Sunday morning fellowship, please contact Daniel Kent at (314) 222-1069 for specific details.

Visitor Contact ~ Do you like to strike up conversations with people you have not met before? Are you passionate about extending a hand to a new face? Do you enjoy connecting people to each other for the sake of the Gospel? If so, please consider joining the “Visitor Contact” Team. This team reaches out to individuals who have visited Central and may have unanswered questions (i.e., Where do I park? How do I get connected to a Sunday school class?, Where is the nursery?...HELP!!) from their visit. If this ministry resonates with you, please contact Katie Boggs at (636) 394-8031 or .com for more information.

Hospitality Service ~ Making arrangements for a reception to welcome guests is a way of showing God’s love by giving warmth and kindness to those who are grieving, and celebrating with those who are rejoicing. If you would like to serve in this fashion, please contact Kathy Fulstone at (314) 993-2937 or .

Women’s Ministries ~ Would you be interested in doing some simple sewing at home? Women’s Ministries makes baby quilts for ThriVe (Pregnancy Resource Center) each year. For more information, please phone Julie Kuhlman at 314-965-0214.

College Central Wants You!

Why should you work in campus ministry? “The university is the most important institution in the Western world...The state of the mind and spirit of the university pervades and controls the whole of contemporary civilization” - Charles Malik. Campus ministry is an incredible opportunity for our church to reach the university, and through it, to reach the world. You can partner with College Central as we partner with the Lord to reclaim His world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are looking for men and women from our church family to help us love college students. If you have a desire to disciple others, a heart for hospitality or a passion for prayer, we have lots of opportunities for you to serve. Remember, there are no ‘little people’ in God’s Kingdom, He has made everyone with something important to give.

Please contact Marc Hunsaker at (314) 229-6414, or check out our website (www.collegecentralstl.org) to learn about how you can get involved.

Leaders Needed to Plan Christmas Decorations

Each Christmas season, our church is beautifully decorated with wreaths, garlands, lights and other Christmas decorations to remind us of the season. This year the decorating will happen on Friday, December 3 when members and families come to help put up the decorations. Before that, we need a leader or several co-leaders to help plan what the decorations will be for this year.

If you can help with this planning, please contact Phil Rowland at 314-727-2777 or .
