FAVORITES

QUOTES:  "I suggested we flip a coin, but Angela said she doesn't like to gamble. Of course by saying that, she was gambling that I wouldn't smack her."   -Pam, The Office

C: "I am a math GENIUS. It's my best subject. You can ask me anything."
H: "What's 2 times 2?"
C: "Four!"
H: "Crud. You're going to get all of these."
- two kids at camp trying to keep themselves awake all night

MUSIC:  Johnny Cash,  John Mayer,  80’s rock, Third Day, Caedmon’s Call…

BOOKS:  The journals my mother-in-law kept about my husband while he was growing up - they are hilarious.  Also, The Monster at The End of This Book, The Runaway Bunny, Rainbow Rob, Grace Based Parenting, How Children Raise Their Parents…and some others.

MOVIES: I usually let Todd pick our movies – he’s WAY better at it than I am.  I love Crash and Slumdog Millionaire, but I’m not sure I could watch either more than once.  I can’t take torture scenes.  I also like Up, Office Space,  Best of Show, and A Mighty Wind.

INTERESTS: triathlons (although my bike has now been broken for a long, long time), half marathons, Cardinal’s baseball, and taking appliances apart to see how they work.

FOODS: since Keegan has allergies, food is quickly becoming a big interest in our home – we’re starting to eat foods that are off the beaten path and, thankfully, it’s all been pretty good.  I also love Carl’s and Gioia’s.  And, of course, I love Kansas City BBQ!

STRANGE BUT TRUE:  The first thing I did when I held Keegan for the first time was not to look at his face or count toes, but to check out his hands to see if he has crooked pinkies like me.  He does.  I love it.
