About the Event

Mental health and wellness is a topic of importance for all of us, regardless of our backgrounds, circumstances, or age. It impacts how we think, feel, and act, and can determine how we perceive the world around us, and affect the choices we make. Mental health challenges encompass a wide range of topics affecting tens of millions of people each year. Nearly one in five U.S. adults live with a mental illness (46.6 million in 2017). Mental illnesses include many different conditions that vary in degree of severity, ranging from mild to moderate to severe.

This fall, Central invites you to participate in a series of discussions with professionals from Crossroads Christian Counseling and Killeen Counseling focusing on three main topics: anxiety, depression, and addictions. Each topic will be focused on for a series of talks over a three-week period, followed by a one-week, open Q&A with the counselors on any mental health topic.
