About the Event

Music

Partners in life as well as in music, the dynamic duo of John and Paula Kasica have delighted audiences for decades in St. Louis and beyond.  Paula is a heralded flutist since winning the 1978 Julius Baker prize in New York. Paula’s husband John, percussionist with the St. Louis Symphony since 1971, holds the distinction of having more solo appearances with major American orchestras than any other percussionist in U.S. history. A brilliant virtuoso on dozens of instruments, he and Paula combine to create a truly unique sound that dazzles. Their Christian faith is evident in their duo signature name: Windfire. Harkening the presence and work of the Holy Spirit, their performance will fill your soul.

This presentation of Windfire is part of the 2016-2017 Central Concert Series. These concerts are for the community. In addition to being free, they present the opportunity to connect with others and foster fruitful relationships. We invite you to come, and also invite your family, friends, and colleagues; that through our relationships, we might together answer the call to work towards a better future.
