Over 250 years ago, composer George Frederic Handel set these words in a new and unique sacred work – the oratorio Messiah. This iconic work has resounded its message as a mainstay of concert music, and will form the heart of Central’s annual Christmas Concert. Central’s choirs, orchestra, bells, and brass will perform Part I of Handel’s masterwork, along with music and carols to tell the timeless story that gives us all a renewed perspective on the Christmas season.
