Music

Concert Series

Central’s music ministries aim to cultivate and use the musical gifts of the members of Central as vocalists and instrumentalists to the glory of God.  This year we would also like to welcome you back to live music at Central with our 2022-2023 Concert Series. Concert Series

Choir

Our choirs are a great place to share the joy of making music and to find fellowship and community. We offer children's choirs for kids in Kindergarten up to fifth grade as well as a Chancel choir that sings at the early service throughout the year as well as at special events. There are no auditions; each choir has singers who read music very well and singers who say they can carry a tune but know little about music.

Instrumentalists

Instrumental musicians are welcome to be part of the music ministry! The 8:30am worship service regularly feature handbells, brass, strings, and timpani.  There are also opportunities for other string, wind, brass, keyboard, or percussion instrumentalists (e.g., guitar, violin, cello, flute, etc.). The 11:15 service is most often led in worship by an ensemble including piano, guitar, bass, percussion (cajon, djembe, etc.) and other instruments such as mandolin, flute, trumpet, strings, even harmonica! A string ensemble plays monthly throughout most of the year, and we also have a brass ensemble and a handbell choir.

Join Us

Music has always been an integral part of our worship. From our chancel choir at the early service to the small ensembles leading worship at the second service, to the concerts performed at Central each year, there are plenty of opportunities for you to participate in the music ministry of Central Presbyterian Church.
