Time: 2:00-5:00pm

Do you enjoy making things by hand? Are you crafty? Do you enjoy giving homemade gifts? How about just hanging out and having a good time with friends? If you answered “yes” to any of these, have we got the event for you! Central’s first Maker Fair will feature two jewelry crafts, two paper crafts, two home decor crafts, and a take-and-bake craft (gluten-free option available), as well as crafts that we'll be making to benefit Harvest, Friends of Adams, and Family Ministries. Bring your daughters and friends, fun for ages 10 and up. Registration ends August 16. Contact Pam Smith for more information.

This summer, the theme for Central's women's events is "solstice,an event that comes at the turning of seasons. It’s a word that means sun stands still. It implies a pause. All this seems to capture what we hope these summer events might provide: a gathering point for us as women to pause, to stand together, to connect as we come to the end of one season, and before we begin a new season.
