Discussion GroupsSummer

Do you think that following Jesus in the modern world is often confusing and hard? Come join Central Conversations to talk about important issues related to Christian faith. Prior to each discussion, participants should listen to an interview or talk by a Christian author on the topic of that conversation using the links provided below. We will meet online via Microsoft Teams video call to discuss it together; please email Pastor Mike Farley (mfarley@centralpres.com) for the Teams video link. (Teams works just like Zoom. If you don’t have the Teams application, the link will open in a web browser.) We look forward to great dialogue as we help each other understand and apply our faith more deeply to all of life.

Russ Ramsey, “Van Gogh Has a Broken Heart: What Art Teaches Us About the Wonder and Struggle of Life”

A Presbyterian pastor and author of Van Gogh Has a Broken Heart discusses the personal stories of several famous artists to explore both the beauty they produced in their work and the hardship they experienced in their lives. Ramsey uses these examples to reveal the beautiful ways that the gospel of Christ speaks to deep human suffering and hope.
