Crisis Aid serves children and families who are in crisis situations. Whether it be famine, disease, natural disaster, or sex trafficking, Crisis Aid is there. Together with our partners, we are refusing to do nothing.
COMMUNITY HELPING COMMUNITY
Are you looking for a way to make a difference today? Central actively participates in Crisis Aid's "Community Helping Community" program. During the pandemic, Crisis Aid realized the sheer number of people who had been needlessly going without food every day. They saw mothers living on little more than a box of crackers and parents forgoing a meal so their children had enough to eat each night. For many, their dignity is completely stripped away. They also realized there were so many who desperately want to help but just didn’t know how.
The program features the collection of shelf-stable food items that will be given out into the community. Those in need can then pick up a box of grocery items for themselves and their family, reminding them that no matter their current circumstances, they are thought of and loved.
Already in 2021, more than 63,500 families have been helped in the St. Louis area, and more than 1,524,104 pounds of food have been distributed!
