The choir is made of men and women who love Jesus and love to sing! The choir leads sung worship on Sunday mornings as well as giving concerts that sometimes include timeless masterpieces like Handel’s Messiah and Brahms’ Requiem. The choir also participates in outreach locally, nationally, and abroad - past trips have included England, Scotland, Hungary, and Russia. Choir rehearsals are generally on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm from late-August through May. The choir is open to ages high school through adult, and previous choir experience is not required, though it can be helpful. Directed by Matthew Mazzoni.

The worship team is comprised of singers and instrumentalists who lead musical worship on Sunday mornings, typically in the second service. Members usually serve once per month on a rotating basis. The worship team welcomes instrumentalists (guitar, bass, percussion, piano, strings/woodwinds/brass, etc.) and vocalists ages high school through adult. Directed by Matthew Mazzoni.

The Children’s Choir uses music to help children grow in skill, faith, and experience, preparing them for a lifetime of singing in worship. The choir sings in several Sunday morning services throughout the year, as well as in the Christmas concert and other occasional events. Open to 2nd through 5th grade students (older students are welcome too), the choir rehearses on Sunday mornings after the first service, (roughly 9:45-10:15) and dove-tails with Central’s Sunday School program. The Choristers is a formational children’s choir experience for ages 3 through 1st grade. Using songs to help plant seeds of faith in young minds and teach the foundations of singing, the Choristers sing in worship services 2-3 times per year with rehearsals built into their Sunday School time. Directed by Barb Kelley.

The handbell choir combines musical skill and teamwork into a beautiful sonic experience. They ring on several Sunday morning services throughout the year, as well as on the Christmas concert and other events. The handbell choir rehearses in the choir room on Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:30, and is open to both students and adults. Previous ringing experience is not required, but participants will need to be willing to learn to read from music. Directed by Cathy Benton.

Central’s brass choir adds a powerful dimension of majesty and breadth to our worship. The brass plays in several Sunday morning services throughout the year, often accompanying the choir and congregation, as well as at other concerts and events. It is open to those who play brass instruments from student ages through adult, and rehearses on Thursday evenings from 8:00-9:00pm. Directed by Al Stith.
