Concert 1: Steuart Pincombe, Cello

Steuart is an imaginative American cellist, who is hailed as a “superb soloist” (The Strad) and “a gorgeous player with perfect intonation, imaginative phrasing”(The Philadelphia Inquirer). His desire to bring beauty to unusual places has led him to present concerts across the world, from the Concertgebow Brugge and Carnegie Hall to breweries and living rooms. This program will feature Bach’s incomparable 4th, 5th, and 6th cello suites (BWV 1010-1012), tracing the dramatic narrative of the cross, death, and resurrection of Christ.
